Language is a reality generator - it sets the terms of our thinkable horizons.

Changing language in the #climatecrisis is a substack devoted to understanding the new language that the #climatecrisis is forcing on us, the words that are coming out of our minds and mouths to help us make sense of what it means to live on a heating planet.

It will also investigate how words have been enlisted by dirty fossil fuel companies to keep their climate-wrecking businesses in the shadows.

We will review the anti-climate words we need to ditch, and find the new language we need for a more sustainable future.

And we will have think about the concepts and meanings we don’t even have a word for yet.

Who knows? We might even birth some new pro-climate words.

This newsletter is currently free. Please subscribe so you don’t miss an update. And share with like minds, or minds that need a climate makeover.
